Another lecture in the series of meetings on Geoffrey Chaucer organised by the Bodleian Library will take place on Wednesday, 24 April 2024 at 14:00 GMT (15:00 CET). During the talk entitled “Exhibiting Chaucer”, Marion Turner (JRR Tolkien Professor of English Literature and Language at the University of Oxford, and a Fellow of Lady Margaret Hall) will discuss the current exhibition Chaucer Here and Now. An online conference Scribal Identity and Agency, hosted by the Early Text Cultures research network at the University of Oxford, will take place on Zoom (UK time) on 16 – 17 December 2021. The conference will include talks on the Late Bronze Age city of Ugarit, ancient Rome, medieval Christianity and Islam, and monastic communities in early modern Ethiopia and Tibet.
