On day 2, the Committee will present the results of the eighth call for applications for access to the infrastructure of the Polish Consortium for Cultural Heritage Research. The conference will close with a paper on preliminary non-invasive research into Mary, Queen of Scot’s prayer book. On Thursday 9 March 2023, 13:00-14:00 (GMT)/14:00-15:00 (CET), Richard Gameson (Professor of the History of the Book at Durham University) and Nicole Gilroy (Head of Book Conservation at the Bodleian Libraries) will give a talk on Self-destructing books: colour, corrosion, conservation. The lecture organized by the Bodleian Libraries (Oxford) and Team Pigment (the universities of Durham and Northumbria) will take place in person (Weston Library) and online via Zoom.
