University of Warsaw and Museum of Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów have announced the first call for papers for the 17th International Congress of Turkish Art – ICTA. The Congress will be held between the 18th of September and the 21st of September 2023.
The date of the Congress coincides with the centenary of the Republic of Turkey. Apart from traditional subjects, such as architecture, painting, the art of the book, ceramics, textiles, newly formulated topics will be introduced. The latter will include, among others, the art at war, the art of tombs and tombstones, and Turkish influences on the culture of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
