SIGLUM

Ewa Paśnik-Tułowiecka, PhD in literary studies with a speciality in cultural and religious studies; assistant professor at the Department of Sinology, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Warsaw; cultural expert and literary scholar. Her research interests focus on the issues related to death and dying in the Chinese culture (Chinese Ghosts and Magic. The Palimpsestic and Folkloric Character of the ‘Collected Records on the Supernatural’ (Soushenji)’, WUW 2013; Stories from the Other World, Dialog 2019). She is a member of a research group working on the FOS’s collection of Naxi manuscripts and their connection to the Tibetan Bon religion. She participated in a digitization project on manuscripts and printed books from the collection of the Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw.

Additionally, during her postgraduate studies programme, she has been working on a monograph concerned with the use of medicinal plants for papermaking in China.
