Lecture by prof. Grażyna Jurkowlaniec: A Very Conservative Breakthrough – On the Long Duration of the Medieval Book Formula

On February 27 at 18:00, prof. Grażyna Jurkowlaniec (University of Warsaw) will give a lecture entitled A Very Conservative Breakthrough – On the Long Duration of the Medieval Book Formula. The event can be attended in person at the National Museum in Warsaw (with a free ticket reserved in advance) or watched via a live stream on the Museum’s Facebook profile. The lecture is part of the accompanying program for the exhibition The Gutenberg Bible from Pelplin. This two-volume Bible, the first major text in Europe printed using movable type, will be on display in the Gallery of Medieval Art until March 23, 2025.
